"For the last year or so, I saw numerous physical therapists that didn’t seem to really understand the views of individual’s like myself who love to train with weights with a very high frequency (daily) while still pushing the limits (safely) and making sustainable progress. The typical responses I got were all very dismissive and unpractical (just rest) from people who only treated the site of pain with whatever modality they conformed to (osteo, chiro, physio, etc) with very little emphasis on follow up or movement re training. I kept getting the same injuries and niggles and thought that I just needed to see someone every week because I was training hard and that is what it took to keep up the effort. I refused to settle for this answer and after doing a lot of research into movement, neurodevelopment, pain science and many other rabbit holes, I finally found someone who seemed to understand the human body incredibly well and who looked at all aspects, not just the site of my pain.
This is when I scoped out Fin and noticed he had completed some very interesting courses that lined up with very similar beliefs to what I was thinking. This unique and fantastic way of looking at movement is what made me get in touch and I can honestly say that it was the greatest investment I have made. His approach is exactly what a client-practitioner relationship should be, he actually cares about you and WANTS you to get better, not just be a repeat client coming in every week for a “touch up”. The greatest thing about the entire experience is the homework that is prescribed to keep the changes that were created within the session. These exercises are sent to you with thorough descriptions and videos so you always have access to the little tweaks that we all forget.
I have only been working with Fin for around 2 months (where we have completed 3 sessions only) and my body has never felt better. He has literally reprogrammed the way my joints interact and the changes actually stick. I have more energy, I feel less inflamed, I am holding onto less water because my joints are stacking up the way they should and I am still training daily with more load and better movement quality. We still have a little bit of work left to do but I am loving the process and learning so much at the same time.
Treatment is not about getting a little massage and being poked to death on “trigger points”. If you are still being treated for the same issue and it has been over 6 months, you are being ripped off. If you want to actually get better at moving, which will get you out of pain along with numerous other benefits, you need to see someone like Fin who looks at the entire picture. From my understanding, there is no one like him in Perth and I cannot recommend him enough."

“I was introduced to Fin by my personal trainer as I was having problems with my squats and she was constantly telling me to drop my shoulders.
My first visit to Fin was a complete eye opener. I not only didn’t know how to breathe properly I was using my shoulders to assist with my breathing.Fin was very good in explaining how different parts of my body affect other parts and gave me exercises to help change the way I moved.
I now have no pain in my knees and am very aware of my breathing throughout the day. I can now also move different parts of my body individually as they no longer feel fused together.

Earlier this year I decided to pursue a long time and dream of returning to martial arts. Given I am now 55 with it being 36 years since I had practised martial arts my dream was a big ask to say the least. In an endeavour to regain the fitness and flexibility I possessed all those years ago I tried an over 50s Kettlebell weight program only to end up putting my back out and being off work for a week. At this point I was beginning to wonder if what others were trying to tell me (you're just too old to do this) had some merit. It was then that my chiropractor directed me to see Fin at Complete Body Approach. Fin accessed me and shared my faith in my dream. After several intense consultations with him I started to gain some flexibility back. He then set me an exercise program to do daily at home. To my surprise it is now part of my daily life, which is surprising given I am no gym junkie. The exercises which are tailor made for my body are a combination of stretching and resistance work using only my own body weight.
Now only a few months after first seeing Fin I am back at martial arts. Although it took effort on my part I know in my heart it would never have happened without the skill set and foresight of this master of body movement.
I was unsure what to expect from a movement therapist when I booked in, however, I am happy that I did! Seeing Finn has helped me overcome injuries and improve my physical wellbeing more than I thought possible. I was impressed with his depth of knowledge of the human body and how it works, as well as his logical approach to treatment.
A session starts with a thorough assessment followed by hands on treatment such as fascial release which makes you feel 100x better straight away. He also gives practical advice and targeted exercises to do at home. What I also really appreciated was the time he took to explain what was going on with my body and why the exercises/ therapy would help the situation and then personally follow up and see how I was going after each session.
I can't recommend Finn highly enough if you want to overcome an injury or just get your body moving better!”

I have been seeing physio’s and chiropractors intermittently for 15 years since my shoulder injury, and whilst there has definitely been some benefit in the treatment, the upside in progress tends to diminish over time.
Fin’s whole (complete) body approach looks at correcting imbalances in how I move overall, while also looking to strengthen and stabilise my shoulder through movement. My daily regime is enjoyable, doesn’t take long, and I can see visible improvement in both my range of movement and muscle mass in a relatively short period of time.

I actually can not put in words what fin has done for me. I have been going to to every physio, chiropractor and witch doctor in Perth with a pain in my right hip and what Fin has done in two months none of them got close too in two years.

I recently have been seeing Fin to help me to overcome the discomfort and restriction I experienced when trying to squat, which I have never been able to do – until now!
Fin did a full assessment of my gait and hip mobility and together with hands on therapy, education and movement exercises I now have much better ROM and can finally get ‘ass to grass’.
